Season 1

Everybody Loves Raymond was premiered on 9-13-1996. Season first of this long running series begins with the every-day routines of comedian Ray Romano, who’s a bewildered husband and the father of three kids. Also his family includes his Italian-American parents and a jealous older brother who’s a policeman. Series revolves around Romano’s family as they do deal with daily life troubles. Making Ray’s life miserable are his family members itself as such his parents bombastic Frank and snoopy Marie, his brother Robert who’s a policeman and has a childhood jealousy for his brother. Another characters introduced this season were- Nemo, the owner of the pizza parlor; Ray’s friend Andy, a sports statistician; and Amy MacDougall, Robert’s off-and-on girlfriend. Season finale was entitled ‘Why Are we Here’ and it was aired on 4-7-1997. Season ends with Ray and Debra as they both recall the days when they met in their first apartment. Debra finds out that she may have twins so they do need a house. Robert is just getting married. Ray and Debra arrange a house after Frank sell sit to the couple. House is good… but fate plays an important role as the neighbors’ are- Ray’s mom and dad!!!!!!
